# Know your cost. Charge the right price.

> Calculate the unit cost of each garment — fabric, trims, labor, overhead and development — and the price with taxes, card fees, commission, marketing and profit margin.

TramaMax builds the cost of every garment from real data and turns it into a price that covers taxes, fees and your margin.

## The real cost of each garment

Fabric from the cutting plan, trims and labor from the tech pack, overhead per garment and development costs — pattern, grading and pilot samples — spread over the garments of the order.

- Fabric length × price per unit of length
- Labor and services per garment
- Development costs recovered in the order
- Exact decimals, rounded only for display

## A price formula that respects your margin

Taxes, card fee, commission, marketing and profit margin are percentages of the price — or fixed amounts. TramaMax uses the markup divisor, so the margin you choose is the margin you keep.

- Unit price = (unit cost + fixed amounts) ÷ (1 − percentages)
- Commission and marketing as a percentage or a fixed amount
- Defaults from your profile, editable per order

## Your price, your call

Type your own unit price for any line and TramaMax shows the real margin of that price. When an input is missing, it shows the known subtotal and what is missing — never an incomplete total.

- Manual price with real margin
- Clear list of missing items
- Quote PDF when every line has a price

## Questions

### How do I price clothing?

Start from the unit cost (fabric, trims, labor, overhead and development), then divide by one minus the percentages of the price (taxes, card fee, commission, marketing and profit). TramaMax does this for every line of every order.

### Can I include the pattern and grading costs?

Yes. Development costs belong to the version and can be spread over the garments of an order.

### Does it work with my currency and taxes?

Yes. Orders use your currency, and you set your tax and card fee percentages in your profile.
